Business Development MANAGER

The Role

With our portfolio of Dragon Soop SKU’s (13 currently), you, as our Business Development Manager in Scotland will be working within the Impulse Channel of the drinks market: Cash & Carries and Independent retailers. You will play a crucial role in increasing distribution and delivering latest NPD to Independent retailers, increasing market share and brand visibility for our brands. Your goal is to enhance the visibility and sales performance of Dragon Soop while continuing our strong presence in the competitive off-trade environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the off-trade sector, expanding distribution and increasing product listings.

  • Implement and execute the sales strategy for the off-trade channel, aligning with the company’s overall objectives.

  • Achieve or exceed targets for the assigned territory, reporting on performance as needed.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customer base to drive sales and ensure long-term partnerships.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to your customers, resolving any issues promptly and effectively.

  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure alignment and support for accounts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities.

The person:

  • Strong understanding of Scottish off trade, including key players, trends, and challenges is preferable.

  • PC literacy mainly through PowerPoint and Excel

  • Current experience of Scottish Independent retailers would be advantageous.

  • Strong negotiation, organisation and influencing skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
