The Ronains Release Infectious New Single

Hot on the heels of Dragon Soops sponsorship of new-wave sensations, The Ronains, we’re excited to announce the release of the band's latest single, Quarantine.

About Quarantine

You might think the band has jumped on the COVID bandwagon, but you might be surprised to learn that Quarantine, which was written by bassist Jim, was penned 18-months before the pandemic.

But what’s truly mind-blowing are the lyrics, with the song opening with the lines:

Lock up your daughters, hide your sons away,
Marshal law is coming and we lockdown today.

And closing with:

I feel my temperature starting to rise
My body’s breaking, can’t see through my eyes

The world is crying in its demise
Quarantine

Words, we think you’ll agree, which resonate with us all right now.

And, although, the song is more about a zombie apocalypse than a flu-like virus, it’s still eerily close to what’s happening right now.

Something which hasn’t escaped the notice of Jim’s bandmates:

Jim is obsessed with time travel, so we’re starting to wonder if he’s been to the future. If he has, he’s keeping next week's Lotto numbers pretty close to his chest.

Quarantine also marks the start of a new experimental punk-pop direction for the band, after the new wave sound of their sensational debut album Love, Drugs and On The Dole.
